Inside Akiavic
Work can give a person dignity. It can also become the place a person hides from life.
Birthday Series
There is a point in life where a person must ask: what is all this work for?
I have worked for many years. I have travelled for meetings, carried responsibility, answered calls, entered difficult places and taken on battles that did not always look easy from outside.
Work has its own honour. It gives a person discipline. It teaches patience. It shows you who people really are. But work can also become the place a person hides from life.
Some people only know how to be useful. They do not know how to be present. They can answer every call outside, but they are absent from the table at home. They can solve the public problem, but they do not know how tired their own body has become.
A person should not wait until all strength is gone before deciding to rest. There must be space for family. There must be space to sit down, eat well, travel for peace and simply be alive.
Rest is not laziness. Rest is how a person gathers strength before returning to the road.
Life is not only movement. Sometimes life is also rest.
